The Story
What started as a simple hobby — filming woodworking videos in my garage — slowly grew into something much bigger. Back then, the name Maximum Woodworks fit the spirit of trying new projects, learning on camera, and sharing the process with anyone who wanted to follow along.
Over the years, that small start turned into a real craft. The furniture became more refined, the shop evolved, and the audience grew with it. As the work stepped into a more intentional, fine-woodworking direction, the brand needed to grow too. That’s when Dutchman was born — a name tied to a classic woodworking repair technique, and one that better reflects the clean, timeless approach the company is known for today.
Behind every piece is me, Maxwell Mangold, the builder who shapes, fits, and finishes each project with a level of care that can’t be rushed. Whether it’s a custom commission or a new build for the channel, I put a lot into every workpiece.
And the plan stays simple: keep building, keep improving, and keep growing the YouTube channel and the Dutchman brand. Every piece we make and every video we publish is part of the same journey that started with a camera, a garage, and a love for woodworking.
